Question:
Sedation for implant surgery: I am having an implant done. My dentist offers nitrous oxide but I plan on requesting that I be "put under".

What do I do if he says I cannot do that ... because he's a little on the arrogant side and I am scared he will refuse to do it. ...Visitor from Lakeland

Answer:
Many dentists don't offer the full scope of sedation services.

It is usually because they don't "do" a lot of treatments that full sedation is ideally suited for.

Dentists who place implants on a frequent, routine basis usually offer all of these services.

Now may be a good time for you to find a dentist who treats you the way you "want" to be treated. Enduring arrogance is absurd.
