Question:
Uneven Teeth in 7 year old: My 7 year old son's teeth are growing in wrong.

The top of his teeth aren't flat and straight. Instead the top of the are up and down. Almost like a zig zag line. Except its on the top of his teeth. ....Visitor from GA

Answer:
This is very normal.

The upper front teeth begin erupting around 6 years of age. They rarely come in straight, but I will assure you this will improve with time.

The reason the teeth are not flat and straight because there are normal anatomical structures across the top of the teeth we as dentists call mammalons. These structures will wear down once they begin contacting the lower teeth.

So don't worry. I would suggest getting your child an orthodontic evaluation by an orthodontic specialist, who is recommended by the American Association of Orthodontics, just to make sure everything is developing properly.
