Question:
Are full implants done by each tooth or done like a bridge? ... Visitor from CA

Answer:
If there is a span of missing teeth, usually a bridge is used to provide the best long term endurance, although singular implants are possible.

Some patients choose to have as many implant as possible along the span to achieve the best outcome for bone stimulation, although as few as 4 or 5 implants can be used in many instances.

Another method for a shorter span of missing teeth is to use implants for each missing tooth that are restored with crowns that are tied or fused together on the lingual side which increases the stability of the implants and helps to distribute the biting forces across the implants.

Usually it is "dental function" that plays a key role in deciding what products and procedures are used.
