FAQ:  Extra Teeth

Question:
When I was younger, I lost my baby teeth and had what I thought was my primary set of teeth come in. However, the molars came out during my teens and a third set came in. What is the name of such a condition? ...Visitor from IN

Answer:
What you are describing makes no sense to me. Primary teeth are your baby teeth. If you have extra teeth, they may be called supernumerary, but I couldn't begin to give you an idea as to what is happening without seeing x-rays and a history of your mouth.
