Alternative to Braces? My 12 year old son was told by his dentist and the orthodontist that he needs braces because his K9s have no room to grow down.
When he was 3 years old he had to have surgery and have all his back baby teeth removed due to liquid epilepsy meds rotting his teeth. They put silver caps on all the spaces with spacers. He only has one of these caps left, but his teeth are spread too far apart and there is no room for his adult K9s.
Is there any alternative to braces in his case? None of his teeth are crooked and he has no cavities and takes very good care of his teeth. Any suggestions you may have would be great! ...Visitor from TN
Teeth can be moved via Periodontal procedures but it is considered by some to be more invasive
than ordinary braces.
