Bone graft post op: I had a bone graft done last week, on Wednesday and refused pain meds. I am on antibiotics and mouth rinse.

Everything was ok except I seemed to have an issue coming out of anesthesia when at home. My problem is I woke up this morning (Saturday) an emotional wreck. I can't stop crying and I'm filled with immense sadness.

I've never felt this way before. Could it possible be from the surgery that happened 3 days ago? Is this normal? Or is this something else unrelated? ...Visitor from WA

Anethesia, for many patients, can create an experience of undetected mild euphoria, oftentimes unnoticed until the medication has fully worn off.

It is not unusual to feel a certain emptiness, afterwards, for a brief time. Returning to "normal" will indeed occur but may require a few days of patience.
