Unfortunately, too many patients are aware of the pain and sensitivity issues that can arise with amalgam replacements, cavity fillings and even routine bonding. Shrinkage, a normal phenomenon that occurs with the use of dental composites for posterior applications, is nearly universal. 3M ESPE now has developed a new product that has the lowest known shrinkage factor of less than 1 percent.
