Veneers on bottom teeth: I am in the process of considering veneers for 4 of my top front teeth. I am 63 yrs old and they are discolored and have fillings.
My question is: Dentists do not seem to put Veneers on bottom teeth, why?
I have 4 bottom teeth that are worn down and instead of capping them I would like Veneers, but I never see anything about bottom veneers, so I assume they are not done. ... Visitor from NJ
Your best bet for getting an assessment for veneers on your lower teeth is a prosthodontist
with 15+ years experience.
Many of "today's" cosmetic dentists with veneer experience will tend to have limited experience for
treating lower teeth, due to the popularity of most patients focusing on the uppers.
Veneers are a "surface treatment".... if you have bite issues that require a thicker layer of porcelain, it is likely crowns would be a better choice for durability.
