Six (6) Anterior Teeth Bonding

Combine crown with veneers? I have a crown on one of my front teeth.

I was thinking about getting 6 veneers on my top teeth.

Is that possible even though I have a crown already? ...Visitor from CA

The reason you are getting the six veneers is to improve your smile. It is best to replace the crown at the same time that the veneers are completed in order to get the exact same type of porcelain and have all of the porcelain made at the same time.

When veneers are matched with a crown, the dentist needs to be skilled even if they are all made at the same time because the porcelain on a crown is thicker than the porcelain on a veneer. The crown porcelain generally has more opacity which means that even though they are the same shade and the same porcelain they will still look different.

You are going to want the veneers and the crowns to match not only when they are first placed but years after they are placed by the dentist. In order to achieve all of these goals, the dentist needs to be experienced in handling these issues.
