Veneer Questions Ask The Dentist Richard Winter Question:
Veneers too white - too square: I had just had veeners done 6 upper and 6 lower.

They are too square and too white. My new veneers look like dentures. Can they be reshaped?

And can I get them to be less white? ...Visitor from IL

    Answer:
They can be cosmetically reshaped however there is always a risk of fracture when recontouring veneers. That being said, it can often change the esthetics to make things more desirable.

As far as being too white is concerned, that can't be changed. That is why the dentist uses try in pastes and gets approval before final cementation.

If you are dissatisfied, you need to discuss this with your dentist. I am sure you both discussed colors and shades from the beginning of treatment.
