FAQ:  Transparent Teeth

Question:
Whitening yellow - transparent teeth: My teeth are a slight yellow and partially transparent.

Is there anything that could make them whiter and healthier?

The problem might be because of loss of enamel. There is still definitely some left though. Could you please help me? ...Visitor from MN

Answer:
Transparency, for the most part, cannot be reversed.

Using a whitening agent may help with getting rid of the yellow effect, possibly.... but it would worsen the transparency.

Consult with a Periodontist to get a "tissue level" analysis of what is going on, wny, and what conservative treatments are still possible.
