Sjogrens Synrome Ask The Dentist Corinne Scalzitti Question:
What is better for someone with Sjogrens? Dentures or implants?

Does anyone specialize in providing dental care for people (me) who have Sjogrens? ...Visitor from TX

Answer:
Implants would be better for a Sjogrens patient.

Dentures could irritate the tissues because of lack of saliva, so implants or implant supported dentures would be more comfortable.

Many dentists can provide treatment for patients with Sjogrens. You might want to start with getting consults with Prosthodontists and other dentists who excel at making quality denture products.
