I need a rootcanal but my anxiety makes me vomit.
I also had a bad experience with nitrous oxide as well as I.V. sedation. What are my options?

Don't let the fear of a root canal keep you from having necessary treatment.
Root canals can be painless and there are many sedation choices besides nitrous oxide to help you with you anxiety.
I would suggest having an endodontist (root canal specialist) do the work because he will have a lot of tricks up his sleeve to do it quickly and painlessly.
Have a consultation first to see what can help you. Sedation can be anything from valium before treatment, triazolam (sleeping pills) to conscious sedation to a light general anesthetic.
Having one bad experience witn an IV does not mean it will happen again. The doctor should review what went wrong in the past to avoid problems now.
The fact that the symptoms are gone does not mean they won't come back, and probably soon.
