FAQ:  Pregnancy and Nursing Newborns

Question:
Veneer teeth hurt when pregnant: I have had veneered teeth over 4 years and it was great, but right now I am 35 weeks pregnant and one of my teeth hurt and is very sensitive.

What should I do? I am wonder if it go away after I have the baby? ...Visitor from KY

Answer:
If possible, delay treatment until after the baby is born.

In the meantime, ask your doctor if it is safe to use some over-the-counter pain medications made for teeth. Many are available at large drug stores like Walgreens and CVS.
