Question:
I had my last 8 teeth pulled last a few days ago by an oral surgeon.

All 8 front bottom teeth. There appears to be bone material sticking up and can be seen. There is so much pain, throbbing and burning. Help! ...Visitor from Lexington

Answer:
It sounds like you had a tough "extraction" experience.

While it is common to have bone shards (slivers of bone) to emerge with molar extractions..... YOUR report of bone shard problems across 8 extractions does seem EXTREME.

Although uncomfortable, these bone shards will work their way through the gum tissue. In situations where pain seems unrelenting or where the bone shard does not completely come out on it's own.... it would be wise to get help from your dentist to remove them.
