Implant covers: I have four mini-implants done only one week ago.
When my denture is not in the points are annoying and when my tongue touches them during the night..they cut in sometimes.
Is there anything on the market to cover the sharp points when denture is not in mouth? ...Visitor from Crawford
The mini dental implants that are in popular use today all have a "ball-like" tip which the denture attaches to.
There should not be any sharp points.
If your mini implants were modified to "force" the denture to fit...... it may indicate some technical errors occurred.
If your implants weren't modified and do indeed have the "ball-like" tips... it may be that your tongue is ultra sensitive. Your dentist may be able to create an appliance, similar to a mouthguard, that can be worn at night.
