Question:
My jaw doesn't open or close straight. This causes some pain as well as my jaw cracks.

I had braces as a teen for 3 yrs and again for 9 months in my early 20s (now 28) also had head gear and all 4 wisdom teeth pulled.

Could my jaw problems be caused by my previous dental work and what can be done to fix my crooked jaw? I feel rather self concious about it as well. ...Visitor from Canada

Answer:
The noises you hear are being generated from your TMJ joints.... a definite sign of tmj dysfunction.

Watch the videos we have in the Neuromuscular section of our video library.

Get some consults with dentists who have access to one or more of these technologies so an accurate diagnosis can be made and treatment options developed for correcting the bite issues you seem to have had for many years.
