Implant Crowns Ask The Prosthodontist Chris McFarland Question:
Post Treatment Implant Crown Symptoms: I received my new implant tooth yesterday after having the post placed at least 4 months ago with no problems.

I have quite severe pain. How much swelling and pain is normal? ... Visitor from WA

Answer:
I am assuming that you had the implant surgery done 4 months ago and now had have the crown placed on the implant.

If that is the case, it is not unusual to have some temporary pressure or pinching of the gum tissue which can cause pain.

However, if the crown on the implant hurts more when you bite on it, I would encourage you to return to your dentist to have things checked, to make sure the implant site remains healthy.
