Denture Implants Ask The Dentist Corinne Scalzitti Question:
I have titanium bars that attach a bottom denture to implants but stiil have real problems with food getting under my denture.

NOT just a little. It is uncomfortable to eat.

I thought implants would solve this problem ... Visitor from France

It sounds to me like you may need to have the denture relined.

I will guess that the framework over the implants is doing its job, but the denture may not be close enough to the tissues to prevent the food from getting under it and causing the discomfort.

There are many systems for holding the denture to the implants, so I am taking a guess that the denture should fit snugly over the tissues.

Whatever system you have, you should not be feeling discomfort with food under the denture.
